BWA Water Additives Introduces Bellacide® 350 and 355 – A Unique Multifunctional Biocide for Cooling Water and Oilfield Applications

Bellacide 350 and 355 are now registered by the EPA for use in the USA.

BWA Water Additives announces the introduction of Bellacide 350 and 355 in the USA after recently being granted EPA registration. Bellacide 350 and 355 are used worldwide and proven effective for industrial and comfort cooling water as well as oilfield applications. Bellacide 350 is the 50% active product while Bellacide 355 is 5% active. Bellacide 350 and 355 offers a unique combination of biocidal effectiveness enhanced with exceptional biodispersancy to disrupt and destroy harmful biofilms. Studies show this new biocide to be highly effective on a broad range of microorganisms including algae, fungi, aerobic bacteria, and anaerobic bacteria, especially sulfate reducing species. This new biocide delivers effective control of Legionella bacteria when used as directed. Bellacide 350 and 355 offers cost effective, broad spectrum micro-biological control and is cost competitive with other commonly used non-oxidizing biocides. Label permitted uses for Bellacide 350 and 355 include recirculating cooling and process water systems including air washers, non-food pulp and paper microbiological control, and bacterial control in enhanced oil recovery and pipeline systems. Bellacide 350 and 355 are also available in other countries, subject to local regulatory approval requirements.
