BWA Water Additives acquires BioLab Water Additives

BWA Water Additives is the new name for the former BioLab Water Additives business that was acquired by Close Brothers Private Equity (CBPE) from Chemtura Corporation on 12th May 2006.
The acquisition of the water additives business is essentially a management buy out with CBPE support. The new business acquires the sales, marketing, technology and supply chain assets from Chemtura, as well as leading industrial and water purification additives, identified by the brands Belclene®, Belsperse®, Bellasol®, Belcor®, Bellacide®, BromiCide®, Flocon® and Belgard®.
BWA is investing in a business with a long established track record of delivering innovation, product quality and service to its customers. The proceeds of CBPE funding will be used to expand BWA's products range and enhance new product research and development.
