Application Use

  • The properties of Bellasol S40 make it ideal as a barium/strontium sulphate inhibitior for squeeze applictions.

Features

  • Has better performance than phosphonates as a barium sulphate/strontium sulphate scale inhibitor over a wide pH range.
  • Readily detectable in oilfield brines.
  • Thermally/hydrolytically stable.
  • Gives more efficient adsorption/desorption profiles compared with phosphonates.
  • Widely used for precipitation squeeze applications.
  • Also exhibits good scale inhibiting performance against calcium carbonate and calcium sulphate.
